Emily and Dylan’s London Wedding: A Beautiful Celebration Across Two Continents
Earlier this year, Emily and Dylan tied the knot in a small legal ceremony in Western Australia. However, not everyone they loved could be there—especially their family in England. So, in September, they hosted a second ceremony at the iconic Marylebone Town Hall in London, giving their English relatives the chance to celebrate with them.
As the guests started to gather outside the bustling London venue, there was a palpable sense of excitement in the air. Friends and family had travelled all the way from Australia, and it was lovely to hear about their first experiences of the UK and their adventures exploring London over the past week. For many, it was their first time here, making the day even more special.
Emily and Dylan arrived separately, and I had the chance to capture Dylan’s expression as he saw Emily for the first time on the famous steps—steps where so many celebrities have said “I do.” It was such a sweet moment, one of those glimpses of emotion that make weddings unforgettable.
Before the ceremony, we wandered through the surrounding area to take some beautiful couple portraits. With the backdrop of London’s charming streets, Emily and Dylan looked absolutely radiant. Afterward, we returned to capture family photos, which felt particularly significant since it’s not often these two halves of their family get to be together in the same place.

Inside the stunning marble interiors of Marylebone Town Hall, we made our way to a cosy room on the first floor. Soon after, Emily, escorted by her father, walked in to reaffirm her vows to Dylan. Though they had already married in Australia, the ceremony was just as touching and meaningful. It’s always a privilege to witness these intimate moments in a couple’s life, and I often find myself unexpectedly moved by weddings, even when I’m just meeting the couple on the day.
The registrar shared a lovely reading that had been part of their original Australian ceremony, beautifully linking the two events and connecting the two parts of their lives. It was a thoughtful touch that brought the whole day together.

After the ceremony, we returned to the historic steps of Marylebone Town Hall for confetti and group photos, all in the warmth of the September sunshine. It was a picture-perfect moment, with laughter and joy filling the air. And then came a fun London twist—a classic Routemaster bus arrived to whisk them and their guests away to the reception, adding a bit of charm to their English celebration.
As they hopped on the bus and I waved them off, I couldn’t help but smile. It was an honour to be part of such a special day, one that brought together two families and two countries in the most beautiful way.
Here’s to Emily and Dylan—wishing them a lifetime of happiness!
