What to wear

There are no rules, but here are some guidelines.

  1. Be comfortable. If it's cold or muddy, make sure you're dressed appropriately, be comfortable, and make sure you wear something that makes you feel like you.
  2. Avoid logos or bold patterns as these can be distracting.
  3. Try to tone with the surroundings. For example: in autumn in the woods, go for muted tones of blue and mustard yellows, dusty pink or coral, lighter greys or creams. In the summer, you can go for slightly more colourful clothing, with more pop to it. If you're coming to an urban mini, then go for something a little more muted. Remember, these are just examples for guidance!

During the session

Mini sessions last for 20 minutes and it's important to make the most of this time. Make sure you're ready to go when you arrive. If you have a young child, make sure to arrive with enough time to get them ready too. to save time, you can print and sign your contract before you arrive.

The sessions take place at locations with a variety of backgrounds, so there may be a (very) short walk involved. I provide plastic bags for the storage of coats and other small items, but you are still responsible for their security.

Please let me know in advance if there are going to be people with additional needs or looked after children present, so that I can make the session as comfortable for them as possible.

What if my child won't cooperate?

If your child is being uncooperative, please don't worry or feel stressed. Often they pick up on this and become even less engaged - it's often helpful to prepare them before the session. You might like to tell them my name, show them some photos from my website and introduce them when they arrive. However short the session, getting to know your children at the start is a really important step and works wonders in the long run.

How to book

Get in touch to book your place, you can contact me by replying to this email, or on facebook, or call me on 01702 749611, or 07730587462.

I'll send you an invoice for your session fee and once that's paid, your session is booked.

Aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your session time, just to say hi and sign the paperwork - the sessions run to a tight timetable, so I'd hate to have to cut your session short.

After the session

Once your images are ready, I'll send you a link to an online gallery. You can purchase prints directly from the gallery and have them shipped to your home. I include a web sized download of every print purchased - print prices available in advance on request. You'll also receive a £10 print credit to spend on your prints.
