FAQs

Do we have to pay anything up front?

Yes, a non-refundable £250 booking fee and signed contract secures the date for you. The remainder is due 6 weeks before the wedding.

Can I request certain images?

Of course! Part of our initial meeting is discussing your priorities for the day. We can work together to find a balance of photography that works for you in the context of your wedding.

How many images will we receive?

On average 40-60 per hour. I'll take many more than that and I'll carefully select the images that tell the story of the day and meet my own exacting professional standards

Can we see all the photos?

To be honest you probably don't want to! One of the more time consuming tasks after a wedding is to go through each photo and select the absolute best expressions, lighting and composition for the many thousands of images from a full day wedding. Plus, the files that come from pro cameras are large and difficult to view without specialist software. For these reasons, I don't offer to show all the photos from a wedding day, but you'll see the absolute best from the day.

Can we have a second photographer?

Yes, the keepsake and storyteller+ collections include a second photographer.

What if we have to cancel?

There are lots of reasons why a wedding might be cancelled or postponed. If you have to cancel the wedding with a reasonable notice period, you will receive back everything you have paid, less the deposit. I'm happy to hold over the deposit for another date as long as it's booked within one year from the original wedding date.

Can we pay in installments?

Yes. The deposit must be paid first, and then we can arrange a payment plan for you, as long as the final balance is paid 6 weeks before the wedding date.

How long until we see our images?

I'm always excited to get images to wedding couples as soon as possible.
The turn around time for a full wedding is 6 weeks at most. Editing a wedding is incredibly time consuming and incredibly important to get right. Often in the week following the wedding I will post a preview on social media and then in the weeks that follow I might post a blog post with some additional images. Rest assured I'll get your gallery to you ASAP!

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes! If you love each-other and you're going to have an awesome wedding, then I am 100% there for you.

What happens if you can't make it on the day?

It's never happened - but if disaster strikes and I can't come to your wedding, I promise I won't leave you without a photographer that I know and trust. I have a network of colleagues, who I can call on to photograph hon my behalf, and I'll edit and deliver your images.
